Family Night Out
June 16th, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Chester CAAT Center (2300 W 4th St, Chester, PA 19013)
The Juneteenth family night out will be fun and educational. It will remember the history of people who were enslaved in the United States and celebrate the strength and culture of Black communities. The families will eat a special meal together. The CAAT will have a presentation to explain more about Juneteenth's past and meaning. Families will also take part in games and other activities that honor the day's importance. The last thing they will do is take some time to think about how important the holiday is and what it means to them individually.

Honor Thy Father Brunch
June 18th, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Chester CAAT Center (2300 W 4th St, Chester, PA 19013)
At the CAAT Center, we will be hosting a Father's Day brunch to honor not only the fathers of program participants but also the fathers of men who make significant contributions to the community as a whole. We feel that if we showcase positive African American males who young people can look up to as role models, it will push those young people to accomplish great things in their own lives, and so we want to bring attention to those individuals. In addition to having brunch, we will have traditional activities such as dance and drumming, as well as a special guest speaker who is the Fatherhood Coordinator for The Foundation for Delaware County, Dr. Onaje Muid.

The Juneteenth Celebration
June 19th, 4:00 PM
Rose Tree Park (1671 N Providence Rd, Media, PA 19063)
