On Saturday, April 5, 2025, the Chester Upland School District hosted its annual Title I Spring Youth & Family Summit at the STEM Academy, offering a vibrant day of learning, creativity, and community engagement. The event featured the Cultural Arts & Technology (CAAT) Center's “CAAT-tastic On The Road” program, which provided a range of hands-on activities designed for children ages 6 to 11.
The CAAT Center curated eight interactive stations that captivated young minds and encouraged exploration across various disciplines. Highlights included immersive virtual reality experiences, engaging STEM projects, creative face painting, and exhilarating car racing activities. These activities aimed to spark curiosity and foster a love for science, technology, engineering, the arts, and fun among participants.
The summit also served as a platform for families to connect with educators, community partners, and local organizations, reinforcing the district's commitment to holistic student development and family involvement. The CAAT Center's contributions were instrumental in creating an environment where education and entertainment seamlessly merged, leaving attendees inspired and eager for future learning opportunities.
