The Women's Coalition for Empowerment presented a powerful Umoja (Unity) Kwanzaa Ceremony, hosted by Shekhinah B. and held at the African American Museum in Philadelphia. The evening brought together elders, youth, artists, and community members for a meaningful celebration rooted in culture, reflection, and collective purpose.
A highlight of the ceremony was the lighting of the Kinara, performed by Tara Jones of the Chester CAAT Center, symbolizing a shared commitment to unity, responsibility, and togetherness. Youth performances by the Furaha Dance Company and Phonk Philly energized the space, showcasing the creativity and leadership of the next generation.

The evening served as both a celebration and a call forward, affirming the African American Museum in Philadelphia as a vital space where history, culture, youth leadership, and community unity converge.
