Nestled in the vibrant artistic community of Chester, PA, the Art Unframed Gallery is a new art gallery located in the Downtown CAAT Center.
The Avenue of the States in Chester, PA, is known for its rich history and is continually blossoming as an artistic and cultural hub in the city with local artists showcasing their diverse talents.
The grand opening of the brand new Art Gallery took place on Friday, March 8th. Paterons stopped by to, eat, celebrate, and view some AMAZING artwork! It was an empowering event for the whole family. Thank you all for your support as we celebrated the Grand Opening of Art Unframed Gallery located at the Downtown CAAT! This exhibit featured the art of 7 beautiful female artists in honor of Women's History Month. The artwork was in celebration of Women's History Month and features artwork from 7 beautiful women artists!
On Friday, March 8th, art enthusiasts and supporters gathered to commemorate the Grand Opening of the Art Unframed Gallery located at the Downtown CAAT. It was a celebration marked by camaraderie, great food, and, most importantly, awe-inspiring artwork. As vistors mingled, they were treated to a captivating array of pieces, each telling a unique story and bearing the indelible mark of its creator.
This inaugural event was particularly poignant as it was inspired by Women's History Month. In homage to the profound contributions of women in the arts, the gallery featured works from seven exceptionally talented local female artists. Their creations served as a testament to the enduring legacy of women in shaping culture and challenging conventions.
Among the attendees was Jasmine F., who expressed her delight: "...it was a pleasure...being apart of such and enlightening, beautiful experience! So happy about the turn out and success of the new studio and can’t wait for what’s to come! Me and my aunt Lisa really enjoyed ourselves. Everything turned out amazing and every artist is talented and passionate! Loved all the art!" Her sentiments were echoed by many, including Twyla Simpkins, who made the first purchase of artwork from the gallery—an exquisite piece titled "Peek A Boo" by artist Velvet Poindexter.

The success of the grand opening served as a prelude to the gallery's future endeavors. Under the stewardship of Denise R. Davis, the Gallery Manager, the Art Unframed Gallery is poised to become a hub for artistic expression and community engagement.
Upcoming Events
As a part of Art Unframed 2nd Friday's Art Show, a monthly art show event, the gallery has exciting events lined up, including the "Earthly Things" exhibit, which pays homage to the environment and nature in honor of Earth Day which kicks off April 12th through May 3rd. This event is free to the community, and all are welcome to attend the official exhibit opening on April 12th from 5 - 8 pm, where the community will have the chance to visit the exhibit, speak with the artists regarding their work, and indulge in some light refreshments.
The Art Unframed Gallery hasn't been open long but has already had the pleasure of artistic events, including candle-making and a book signing, to name a few.
The first official book signing at the Art Unframed Gallery was previously held on Saturday, April 6th by author, motivational speaker, and life coach Roneisha Seaton for the exclusive release of her book, "The Blossoming of Me."
